FAQS

General Questions

What is Kallent?

Kallent is a human-led, AI-assisted recruiting firm that connects candidates with career opportunities through our network of employer clients. We help individuals discover roles, prepare for interviews, strengthen their professional profiles, and navigate the hiring process with greater confidence and transparency.

Unlike traditional job boards, we don’t simply collect resumes. Our team works to understand each candidate’s background, goals, skills, and experience so we can identify opportunities that may be a strong fit. Depending on the employer’s hiring process, we may refer candidates directly to a client, conduct an initial screening, coordinate interviews, or provide ongoing support throughout the hiring journey.

While we help facilitate introductions and advocate for qualified candidates, the final hiring decision always belongs to the employer. Our role is to help ensure candidates are presented accurately, prepared effectively, and matched to opportunities where they have the greatest potential to succeed.

We believe career opportunities should be accessible, transparent, and human.

That’s why we work to remove common hiring frustrations by providing clear communication, real recruiter support, constructive guidance,

No. Candidates can apply for job opportunities at no cost.

Our services may include:

  • Matching candidates with relevant job opportunities
  • Referring qualified candidates to employer clients
  • Conducting recruiter screenings and interview preparation
  • Resume reviews and parser-friendly resume support
  • Career coaching and professional development resources
  • Interview guidance and mock interview preparation
  • Offer navigation and onboarding support for select programs
  • Ongoing communication throughout the hiring process

Our goal is not simply to help candidates land a job, we aim to help them find opportunities where they can build meaningful and successful careers.

Most opportunities posted by Kallent are for positions with our employer clients. Kallent acts as a recruiting and talent partner, helping identify, screen, prepare, and refer qualified candidates to organizations that are actively hiring.

In these cases, the employer—not Kallent—makes the hiring decision, extends any employment offer, determines compensation and benefits, and serves as the candidate’s employer if hired.

Occasionally, Kallent may recruit for internal positions, project-based opportunities, contractor roles, internships, or other engagements directly with Kallent. When this applies, the job posting will clearly state that Kallent is the hiring organization.

If you’re ever unsure whether a role is with Kallent or one of our clients, please review the job posting carefully or contact our team for clarification.

Applying for jobs through Kallent, being considered for employment opportunities, participating in recruiting processes, joining our talent network, meet and greets, career resources (i.e. resume templates) and receiving referrals to employer clients are provided at no cost to candidates.

However, Kallent may offer optional fee-based services designed to support career development and professional growth. These services may include:

  • Career coaching and career strategy sessions
  • One-on-one interview preparation
  • Resume reviews and resume writing assistance
  • LinkedIn profile optimization
  • Professional branding and job search consulting
  • Skills workshops, webinars, and training programs
  • Mock interviews and interview practice sessions
  • Networking events, career fairs, and professional development programs
  • Certification preparation resources or educational programs offered through Kallent or third-party partners

Participation in any paid candidate service is entirely voluntary and is not required to apply for jobs, be considered for opportunities, receive referrals, participate in interviews, or obtain employment through Kallent.

Purchasing a coaching service, workshop, training program, or other paid offering does not guarantee an interview, referral, job placement, employment offer, or any particular hiring outcome.

Any fees, pricing, refund policies, and service terms will be clearly disclosed before purchase.

Applying & Hiring Process

How do I apply for jobs through Kallent?

You can apply to opportunities through Kallent in several ways. Candidates may apply directly through active job listings on our website or through third-party platforms where Kallent posts opportunities, including JOIN.com, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting partners.

Depending on the role, you may be asked to upload a resume, answer a few screening questions, or complete a brief application form. Once your application is received, our team reviews your information and determines whether your background aligns with the employer’s requirements.

If there’s a potential match, a Kallent recruiter may contact you to discuss the opportunity, learn more about your experience, and explain the next steps in the process.

A Kallent Meet & Greet is an informational session designed to help candidates learn more about specific opportunities, industries, employers, or hiring initiatives that Kallent is actively supporting.

These sessions provide an opportunity to hear about available roles, learn about desired qualifications and experience, understand the hiring process, and determine whether an opportunity may be a good fit for your interests and career goals. Meet & Greets may be hosted by Kallent recruiters, hiring teams, employer representatives, or a combination of participants depending on the event.

Candidates are encouraged to ask questions about the role, work environment, hiring timeline, qualifications, expectations, and other information that may help them make an informed decision about pursuing the opportunity.

Attendance at a Meet & Greet does not constitute an application, interview, referral, or guarantee of consideration for any position. Participation is entirely voluntary.

Following the session, attendees may receive additional information about the opportunity and, when applicable, a link or instructions on how to formally apply if they are interested in being considered. Submission of an application is required before a candidate can be evaluated for a position.

Yes. AI may assist with resume parsing and matching, but all decisions that affect your candidacy are reviewed by a qualified recruiter or hiring manager before it is forwarded to our client or referral partner.

No. Kallent does not conduct AI- interviews or one-way AI video interviews. Candidates participate in live interviews conducted by real people.

Before the process begins, you’ll receive:

  • A description of each stage
  • Information about who is conducting each interview
  • Notice of any required technology or platforms
  • Information about accommodations or alternatives if needed

Timelines vary by employer, but Kallent strives to provide:

  • Post-screen feedback within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Updates during active interviews or if a position is paused.

Some employers ask recruiting partners like Kallent to keep their identity confidential during the early stages of the hiring process. This is a common practice in recruiting and can occur for several legitimate reasons, including confidential growth initiatives, replacement hiring, new business launches, competitive considerations, or internal organizational changes.

When a client requests confidentiality, Kallent will still provide candidates with as much relevant information as possible about the opportunity, including the industry, responsibilities, qualifications, location, compensation range (when available), work arrangement, and other key details needed to evaluate the role.

We will never submit your profile to an employer without your knowledge and consent. Before your information is shared with a client, we will identify the employer and provide any additional information we are authorized to disclose so you can make an informed decision about moving forward.

Our goal is to balance transparency for candidates with the confidentiality obligations we have to our employer clients. If you have questions about a confidential opportunity, our recruiting team will do its best to provide additional context while respecting client privacy requirements.

No. Applying through Kallent does not guarantee employment, an interview, a referral, or placement with one of our clients.

Our role is to identify opportunities, evaluate candidate qualifications, and connect potentially qualified individuals with employers seeking talent. Every opportunity has specific requirements, and many positions receive applications from multiple qualified candidates.

When you apply, our team reviews your background, skills, experience, and qualifications against the needs of the role. If we believe there may be a strong match, we may contact you for additional screening, discuss the opportunity in more detail, or refer your profile to the employer with your consent.

The final hiring decision always rests with the employer. Factors such as role requirements, candidate availability, interview performance, experience, compensation expectations, and overall fit may influence the outcome.

Even if you are not selected for a particular opportunity, we may consider you for future roles that align with your background and career goals, subject to your preferences and consent.

Our commitment is not to guarantee placement, but to provide a transparent, professional, and respectful hiring experience while helping connect qualified candidates with meaningful opportunities.

In some cases, candidates who are being considered for a direct introduction to an employer or client may be given the option to opt in to additional preparation support provided by Kallent.

This optional support is offered at no cost and is intended to help candidates better understand the opportunity and prepare for the next stage of the hiring process. Depending on the role and circumstances, this may include interview preparation, role-specific insights, guidance on how to present relevant experience, resume or application feedback, mock interview sessions, or general coaching on navigating the hiring process.

These services are not guaranteed and may vary based on the opportunity, client requirements, recruiter availability, and stage of the hiring process. Participation is entirely voluntary and is not required to be considered for a role or to move forward in the hiring process.

Receiving preparation support, coaching, or guidance from Kallent does not guarantee an interview, referral, job placement, employment offer, or any specific hiring outcome.

Yes. Candidates are encouraged to apply for any roles that match their qualifications and interests.

Absolutely. Joining the Kallent Network provides your consent to allow us to consider you for future opportunities that align with your background and career goals.

In most cases, no. Kallent serves as a recruiting and talent partner that helps connect qualified candidates with employer clients. If you are hired for a position with one of our clients, you will generally be employed and paid directly by that employer.

The employer will be responsible for compensation, payroll processing, tax withholding, benefits administration, onboarding, employment policies, work schedules, performance management, and other employment-related matters. Any questions regarding pay, benefits, time off, employment status, tax forms, or workplace policies should typically be directed to your employer.

In some situations, Kallent may recruit for positions where Kallent acts as the employer, employer of record, contractor engagement provider, staffing partner, or project administrator. When this applies, the job posting, offer documentation, or engagement agreement will clearly identify who will be responsible for payroll, employment administration, and related services.

Candidates should carefully review all offer letters, employment agreements, contractor agreements, onboarding materials, and payroll documentation before accepting a position to understand who their employer is and how compensation will be administered.

If you are ever uncertain about who will be paying you or serving as your employer, please ask your recruiter before accepting an offer.

Feedback & Communication

Will I receive feedback after interviews?

Kallent is committed to keeping candidates informed throughout the hiring process whenever possible. After recruiter-led screenings, we may provide general guidance, observations, or recommendations to help candidates strengthen future applications and interviews.

However, because Kallent represents employer clients and must respect the confidentiality of their hiring processes, we cannot guarantee detailed interview feedback, scoring information, internal deliberations, hiring criteria, or the specific reasons behind a client’s decision. In many cases, employers do not provide detailed feedback, and certain information may be confidential, proprietary, or protected by company policy.

When feedback is available and authorized for sharing, we will communicate appropriate insights in a professional and constructive manner. Regardless of whether detailed feedback is available, Kallent strives to provide timely status updates, clear communication, and closure regarding your application whenever possible.

Kallent believes candidates deserve clear communication throughout the hiring process. We strive to provide timely status updates, transparency regarding next steps, and notification when a hiring decision has been communicated to us by a client.

Because Kallent works on behalf of employer clients, the timing and availability of updates may depend on information provided by the employer. While we cannot guarantee response times or that every client will provide detailed feedback, we make reasonable efforts to follow up with clients, keep candidates informed of significant developments, and communicate available information as promptly as possible.

Our goal is to ensure candidates are not left uncertain about their status for extended periods. We strive to provide closure whenever feasible and when information is available to share, while respecting client confidentiality, privacy obligations, and employer hiring policies.

If a position is placed on hold, canceled, filled, or otherwise updated, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate that information to affected candidates when permitted to do so.

Kallent strives to provide regular status updates and clear communication about where you are in the hiring process and what happens next.

Candidates always have access to human support and can reach out with questions about applications, interviews, accommodations, or job opportunities.

A.I. & Technology

Does Kallent use A.I.?

Yes. Kallent uses technology, including AI-assisted tools, to support administrative and recruiting functions such as resume parsing, scheduling, candidate matching, communications, and workflow management.

At Kallent, AI is used to assist our recruiting team—not replace human judgment. Any evaluations, recommendations, referrals, or candidate-related decisions made by Kallent are reviewed by a human recruiter.

Because many opportunities on our platform are with third-party employer clients, employers may use their own recruiting technologies, screening tools, applicant tracking systems, or hiring processes that are independent of Kallent. Kallent does not control or manage an employer’s internal hiring practices, technologies, evaluation methods, or final hiring decisions.

When Kallent is responsible for candidate screening or evaluation, we do not use AI-only interviews as part of our process. We are committed to transparency regarding how we use automation and strive to provide candidates with clear information about the hiring process whenever that information is available to us.

If a client requires specific screening methods, technologies, assessments, or interview formats, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate those requirements before the next stage of the process.

Kallent does not use facial analysis, emotion recognition, expression scoring, or appearance-based evaluation to determine whether a candidate is qualified for a role; however, certain tools or recordings may be used for coaching, training, or quality improvement purposes.

In some cases, Kallent or an employer client may use identity verification tools that involve comparing a government ID, profile photo, or live image to help confirm that a candidate is who they say they are. This may be used for fraud prevention, remote hiring security, regulated roles, client compliance requirements, assessment integrity, or background-check coordination.

When identity verification is required, it is used for verification purposes, not to assess personality, emotions, attractiveness, facial expressions, or job-related ability. Kallent does not control every employer client’s internal hiring process or technology choices, but we make reasonable efforts to communicate known client-required tools, platforms, or verification steps before candidates move forward.

Where required or appropriate, candidates may receive notice, consent information, and available alternatives or accommodations. Candidates with accessibility concerns, technology limitations, or questions about a verification step should contact Kallent so we can review the situation and, when feasible, discuss available options with the client.

Kallent provides a human review process if automated parsing encounters issues.

Privacy & Data

How is my information shared with employers?

When you apply for a specific position through Kallent, you are authorizing Kallent to review your application and share relevant application materials with the employer associated with that opportunity for hiring-related purposes. This may include information you provide in your application, resume, assessment results, interview notes, and other materials relevant to the hiring process.

If you are part of Kallent’s talent network or talent pool, we may notify you about opportunities that may align with your background and interests. In most cases, candidates will be invited to review the opportunity and submit an application before their information is shared with an employer.

You may request to withdraw your application from consideration at any time by contacting Kallent. While we will make reasonable efforts to stop further processing of your application, we cannot guarantee the removal of information that has already been shared with an employer or incorporated into their hiring records, systems, or processes.

Kallent does not sell candidate information to third parties. We share candidate information only as necessary to provide recruiting, placement, hiring, onboarding, compliance, verification, or related employment services, subject to applicable law, contractual obligations, and our privacy practices.

By submitting an application for a specific opportunity, you acknowledge and consent to the processing and sharing of your information as reasonably necessary to evaluate your candidacy for that position.

Accessibility & Accommodations

What accommodations are available?

Kallent offers:

  • Alternative interview formats such as Phone interviews or even audio only video interviews.
  • Written Q&A options when appropriate
  • Captioning services
  • Disability accommodations upon request

Interview requirements vary by employer and by role. Some opportunities may include phone interviews, virtual/video interviews, written assessments, in-person interviews, or a combination of these methods.

When Kallent conducts an initial screening, we may be able to offer alternative formats or accommodations depending on the circumstances. However, once a candidate progresses into a client’s hiring process, interview requirements are determined by the employer. For example, some remote positions may require video interviews as part of the employer’s standard evaluation process, and alternative formats may not always be available.

If a video interview, assessment platform, identity verification process, or other hiring requirement is mandatory for a position, candidates should carefully consider whether they are willing and able to complete those requirements before proceeding. Kallent will make reasonable efforts to communicate known interview formats, technology requirements, and hiring steps before scheduling whenever that information is available to us.

Candidates who require accommodations due to a disability, accessibility need, or other protected reason are encouraged to notify Kallent as early as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to coordinate with the employer regarding accommodation requests, but approval and implementation of accommodations within a client’s hiring process may ultimately be determined by the employer and applicable law.

Choosing not to participate in a required interview format or hiring step may affect eligibility for certain opportunities.

You can request accommodations during the application process or by contacting Kallent directly. We will do our best to work with you to identify reasonable alternatives.
